I loathe bananas!

In a reversal of the premise of the first film, three of the futuristic apes travel back to the 20th century in this second sequel to the original Planet of the Apes.

Arriving, conveniently, in LA, Zira (Kim Hunter) and Cornelius (Roddy McDowall) are treated like celebs and find themsleves ensconced in the Regent Beverly Wilshire, 9500 Wilshire Boulevard (tel: 310.275.5200), at the foot of Rodeo Drive. So, of course, they get kitted out in style. And, of course, this is where Julia Roberts stayed in Pretty Woman.

Zira realises she's pregnant when she faints while visiting the Natural History Museum of Los Angeles County, in the Exposition Park district, south of downtown LA.

The harbour is, naturally enough, San Pedro Harbor, south LA.
