comedy set in the Korean war marred, like so many of
Robert Altmanís
movies, by misogyny and homophobia, but given bite by
the blood – sorely missing from the sanitised TV
series.
The 'South Korean' tent encampment was built on the
Twentieth Century Fox lot in Malibu
Creek State Park, Las Virgenes Road and Mulholland
Drive, at Calabasas in the Santa Monica Mountains, northwest
of LA.
The climactic football game was shot in a playground
in that old favourite, LAís
Griffith Park.
