Keanu
Reeves, returning from WWII and stranded in the
middle of nowhere, saves the accidentally-pregnant Aitana
Sanchez-Gijon from the wrath of her family by passing
himself off as her husband, in Arauís whimsical romance
set in Northern Californiaís
Wine Country.
The movie was shot around loads of the Napa Valley wineries,
including Mayacamus Vineyards,
1155 Lokoyo Road, Napa; Mount
Veeder Winery, 1999 Mount Veeder Road, Napa;
the Haywood Vineyards, Sonoma;
the Beringer Vineyards, 1000
Pratt Avenue, Saint Helena; the Charles
Krug Winery Redwood Cellar, 2800 Main Street (Hwy 29),
Saint Helena, and Duckhorn
Vineyards, 3027 Silverado Trail, Saint Helena.
Filming also took place in San
Pedro, the harbour to the south of LA.
The most intriguing location, though, must be the wine
festival, which was actually staged in the Large
Courtyard of Pasadena
City Hall, 100 North Garfield Avenue, Pasadena,
east of LA, seen in Beverly
Hills Cop II.
