Trivia
A sequel, of sorts, to the excellent Village of the Damned, adapted from John Wyndham’s The Midwich Cuckoos.
Children of the Damned location: the kiddies hole up: St Dunstan’s-in-the-East, London EC3
Message-heavy sequel to Village of the Damned (kind of), with the eerie blond children, now a multi-racial bunch, claiming a mysterious anti-war purpose.
The church in which they hole up for the explosive finale is St Dunstan-in-the-East, St Dunstan’s Hill, north of Lower Thames Street, London EC3.
Severely damaged in the Blitz of 1941, only the shell and the steeple (which is by Christopher Wren) remain. The body of the old church has been redeveloped as a garden.
