Hellraiser location: Pinhead is brought to life on 'Lodovico Street': Dollis Hill Lane, Dollis Hill, London NW2
Writer Clive Barker’s debut feature film launched the Cenobites, perverse pleasure-seekers from Hell, particularly the seemingly-indestructible Pinhead.
In the film, the house where Julia Cotton (Clare Higgins) disposes of casual pick-ups to revive Frank Cotton (Sean Chapman) with fresh blood, is known as ‘66 Lodovico Street’.
The real house is actually much grander, and less dilapidated, than it appears in the movie, and it’s the rear of the house that’s seen.
It’s 187 Dollis Hill Lane, NW2, high on the hill, the rear overlooking Cricklewood, where the interiors filmed at the Production Village Studio, 100 Cricklewood Lane.
