Wacky comedy with James Caan and Nicolas Cage competing for Sarah Jessica Parker in a Vegas seething with – what else? – Elvis impersonators.
Filming took place at Bally’s Casino Resort, 3645 Las Vegas Boulevard South.
Apart from Las Vegas itself, where Cage gets to fly over the crazily spired and turreted 4,000-room (the largest in the world – at the time) Excalibur Hotel, 3850 Las Vegas Boulevard South, on the corner of Tropicana Avenue and the Strip, There’s more location filming in New York.
And Caan’s Hawaiian estate was filmed on the garden island of Kauai. Cage and Caan fight outside the Kauai Marriott Resort & Beach Club, Kalapaki Beach, 3610 Rice Street. The restaurant was the, since demolished, Inn on the Cliffs, part of the same complex.
