Joel Schumacher’s tight little thriller is set in ‘New York’ but, although there are a few minutes of Times Square to establish the locale, the phone booth, where duplicitous PR man Stu Shepard (Colin Farrell) is pinned down by an unseen sniper, supposedly at ‘53rd and Eighth’, was constructed on West Fifth Street at South Spring Street, downtown Los Angeles, opposite the Alexandria Hotel (seen in Se7en).
The nearby Chester Williams Building, West Fifth Street (previously seen in Blade), was transformed into a ‘Manhattan’ subway entrance.
