The crew travels back in time to to 2063 to prevent the Borg from assimilating the human race in this action-packed entry in the series.
The 40s nightclub from the holographic novel, The Big Goodbye, to which Picard takes Lily Sloane (Alfre Woodard) to avoid the Borg, was filmed in the restaurant of LA's stunning Union Station, 800 North Alameda Street, downtown. The deco landmark has been seen in lots of films, including Steven Spielberg’s Catch Me If You Can and Michael Bay’s Pearl Harbor, but is probably most famous as the police station in Ridley Scott’s Blade Runner.
The missile complex at ‘Bozeman, Montana’, where Zefram Cochran (James Cromwell) works on perfecting the warp drive, was built in the Angeles National Forest, north of Los Angeles,
‘Phoenix’, his subterranean warp ship is a real Titan II intercontinental ballistic missile (with its nose cone slightly adapted), housed in the Titan Missile Museum, 1580 West Duval Mine Road, Sahuarita, near Green Valley, about 20 miles south of Tucson, Arizona.
Officially known as complex 571-7, this is the only one of the 54 bases still in existence, now turned into a museum, after the programme was phased out in the Eighties. There are not only basic one-hour tours and more thorough five-hour tours, but also online Skype and video tours of the facility.
