Trivia
Of course, there’s Scream and Scream 3.
The Vista Theater becomes the Detroit cinema, where Christian Slater and Patricia Arquette watch a Sonny Chiba triple bill in the Quentin Tarantino-scripted True Romance. It was also seen in underrated Kevin Bacon satire The Big Picture.
The Rialto Theatre is the picture house at which Griffin Mill (Tim Robbins) meets the doomed scriptwriter in Robert Altman’s The Player. It’s also the cinema showing the inevitable See You Next Wednesday in John Landis’ Kentucky Fried Movie.

Two years after the ‘Woodsboro’ murders, and Sidney Prescott (Neve Campbell) is attending college, when the fictionalised version of the killings, Stab, is released. Oh, and there are some more killings.
We seem to have moved away from California. ‘Windsor College’ is Agnes Scott College, 141 East College Avenue, Decatur, outside Atlanta, Georgia.
It's back to the west coast, though, for some locations. The sorority house, where Sidney is relaxing at a party while CiCi (Sarah Michelle Gellar) meets the Ghostface killer, is 350 South Grand Avenue at Arbor Street in Pasadena, east of Los Angeles.

Also in California are the setting for Stab and its première. The movie-within-a-movie was shot at Malibu.
The première was filmed in the beautiful little Vista Theater, 4473 Sunset Drive, Hollywood (which you've probably seen as the ‘Detroit’ movie house at the opening of Tony Scott’s True Romance).

That’s not the exterior of the Vista, though. The cinema frontage is the Rialto Theatre, 1023 South Fair Oaks Avenue, South Pasadena. The Rialto was seen in Robert Altman’s The Player and in John Landis’ Kentucky Fried Movie.
