SPIDERMAN 2: FILMING LOCATIONS: NEW YORK; LOS ANGELES

Naturally, there are plenty of familiar locations from the first movie (Queens, Columbia University, Tudor Place), and there's just a little more New York in Spidey 2, though the eagle-eyed might spot a bit of LA in there too (doesn't the bank that Doc Ock (Alfred Molina) robs look a little familiar to you? Think Nazi diamonds, or maybe a little sinful research...).

And the climactic fight in the ruined warehouse was filmed on the Warner Bros Burbank lot (the set was still standing when I did the Warners VIP tour in November 2003).

The pizza house, where Parker loses his job as a delivery boy, is a real restaurant down in the West Village: it's Joe's Pizza, 233 Bleecker Street at Carmine Street. Also in New York, you'll also be able to find the entrance to Doctor Octavius's lab and the grand church where Mary-Jane might, or might not, get hitched.

The 'Science Library Benefit', at which everything seems to go pear-shaped for Peter, as MJ announces her engagement and Harry turns ugly, is held at the Rose Center for Earth and Space, 81st Street at Central Park West, part of the American Museum of Natural History, housing the Hayden Planetarium (previously seen in Woody Allen's Manhattan).
