When waterboy Bobby Boucher (Adam Sandler) gets riled he shows a ferocious talent for tackling, in this comedy, which the Harold Lloyd family felt bore a rather striking resemblance to The Freshman.
The movie was shot in Florida, where Bobby’s ‘Louisiana bayou’ home was built on the Highbanks Road boat ramp at Debary, north of Orlando.
The Mud Dogs’ training ground is the Spec Martin Municipal Stadium in DeLand, while the fraternity party was filmed in the Hunter Arms Bed & Breakfast, 1025 New York Avenue in St Cloud.
