The first of a short series based on the exploits of cartoonist Ronald Searle's anarchic schoolgirls has an innocence it's impossible to recapture in moder remakes (or the truly horrible 70s attempt to revive the series). The school itself is Easneye House, situated in grounds off Hollycross Road, about a mile north of Stanstead Abbotts, in Hertfordshire, is now the All Nations Christian College so, we can assume, not nearly as naughty as it used to be.
