Socially challenged cable TV installer Chip Douglas (Jim Carrey) barges into the life of the hapless Steven Kovacs (Matthew Broderick) in this comedy which seemed to prove a little too dark for Carrey's usual audience.
Chip’s private retreat, a 60-foot satellite dish, was built in California’s Angeles Forest, north of Los Angeles, and recreated in the old Spruce Goose Hangar at Long Beach for studio filming.
Believe it or not, the medieval theme restaurant, where Chip and Steve are roped into a serious jousting tournament,is for real. You can find Medieval Times, 7662 Beach Boulevard, in the Buena Park district south of Los Angeles.
