Clive Barker’s horror story is transposed from its UK setting of Liverpool to Chicago, where the vengeful spirit of an executed slave is traced to the troubled housing projects of Cabrini Green, on the city's Near North Side. Once regarded as notoriously dangerous, the complex has since been demolished and gentrification is underway.
