The Way We Were | 1973
Leftish firebrand Katie Morosky (Barbra Streisand) endures a mismatched relationship with rich-kid writer Hubbell Gardner (Robert Redford) in Sydney Pollack’s nostalgia-drenched star vehicle.
The fictitious ‘Wentworth College’, where the pair first meet up, is Union College, Schenectady, New York State.
Katie harangues student activists in front of the domed, 16-sided Nott Memorial. Also featured is the Chester Arthur Statue, and the prom scene is Memorial Field House.
Los Angeles locations include the Beverly Hills Hotel, 9641 Sunset Boulevard, Beverly Hills, and Union Station, 800 North Alameda Street, downtown, where Katie endures a demo of hysterical red-baiters.
The final meeting of Katie and Hubbell takes place in New York, outside the Fifth Avenue entrance of the Plaza Hotel, 59th Street.
This is a basic entry and due to be expanded.
