The production was divided between Atlanta, Georgia, and the UK – with most of the practical locations around Southeast England. Find out precisely where.

It's Yorgos Lanthimos so... expect the unexpected.

The house shared by devoted conspiracists Teddy (Jesse Plemons) and his brother Don (Aidan Delbis) was a set built on the Culden Faw Estate, which often hosts events such as weddings, concerts and sporting events, on the north bank of the River Thames at Hambleden, northeast of Henley-on-Thames in Buckinghamshire.

The village of Hambleden and surrounding area have been used for many feature films including Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, 101 Dalmatians, Tim Burton's Sleepy Hollow, Into the Woods and countless TV shows.

The glossy corporate HQ of big Pharma company ‘Auxolith’, headed by non-nonsense, can-do CEO Michelle Fuller (Emma Stone) is Botanica Ditton Park, a high-spec office building set in 94 acres of landscaped parkland within Ditton Park, northwest of Hatchett in Slough, Buckinghamshire.

Convinced that Fuller is somehow an alien, Teddy and Don plan to abduct her and save Earth from her plan to destroy it.

The ultra modern home of Michelle from which she's abducted, is Birdsong, 4 Birds Hill Road, Oxshott in Surrey. But don't go looking. This is a very private gated community. Another home on the same Crown Estate stars in 2023’s TV spin-off Luther: the Fallen Sun, with Idris Elba.

Don't worry, there is a little genuine USA. Since studio scenes were filmed at Blue Star Studios, Forest Park, southeast of Atlanta, Georgia, the US scenes are in the area.

The local mall, where Teddy assures Don that the other shoppers are simply human, is Sunshine Plaza, 1231 Moreland Avenue SE, on Route 23 north of the studio toward Atlanta.

Afterwards they stock up with a supply of very necessary anti-histamine cream at Washington Road Pharmacy, 3518 Washington Road, East Point, southwest of Atlanta.

And later, Teddy stocks up with food for the "royal feast", cycling through the town of Griffin, to Easy Shop Supermarket, 375 N 13th Street.

Those are the main locations for the story but, carefully avoiding spoilers, we'll whizz through a couple of the locations seen in the montage sequence.

You'll find the the dinosaur display at Fernbank Museum of Natural History, 767 Clifton Road NE, Atlanta, GA 30307.

Lanthimos had wanted to film also at the Acropolis in Athens but couldn’t get permission so instead we have that astonishing white rock beach, which is Sarakiniko Beach on Milos Island, southwestern-most of the Cyclades islands in the Aegean Sea, east of Greece.

The bone-white formations are the result of erosion of the volcanic rock by the wind and waves and, understandably, it's become one of the most photographed landscapes in the Aegean.

The fishmarket is the new Billingsgate facility, off Trafalgar Way at the eastern end of the North Dock of the West India Docks, Poplar, London E14.

Finally, fans of TV’s The Walking Dead no doubt instantly recognised Freedom Park Freeway leading to the view of Downtown Atlanta’s skyline from the Jackson Street Bridge.

Just east of downtown, the spot to get this famous shot is on Jackson Street NE between Highland Avenue NE and Cain Street NE.
