This late period Marx-ism, with the brothers causing chaos at the races, was shot at the Santa Anita Park, 285 West Huntington Drive, Arcadia, between Los Angeles and Pasadena.
With its towering palms and distinctive green and yellow wrought ironwork, Santa Anita has been a favourite with Hollywood punters since 1934. It’s where James Mason fell off the wagon in the 1954 A Star is Born, and cropped up again recently in Michael Mann’s Public Enemies.
