Carry On Dick | 1974
The countryside is naturally the much used Black Park, alongside Pinewood Studios in Iver Heath, Buckinghamshire, and Maidenhead Thicket in Berkshire.
The church of the Reverend Flasher (Sid James), aka Dick Turpin, is St Mary’s, Hitcham Lane, just west of Burnham in Buckinghamshire. Its prominently featured World War I memorial is never really explained, or even disguised.
The stocks (the ever-patrician Kenneth Williams initially refused to do the film if this scene remained) are at Stoke Poges Manor House, Stoke Poges, north of Slough.
